IMPEDANCE
MYOGRAPHY (IMG) is
a new technology of human neuromuscular system noninvasive testing based on
mechanical muscle tone registration with high temporal resolution, in
particular, during muscle response to some stimulus specially applied. The
basis and the novelty of the approach is that we accept as tonic parameters
shear elastic and shear viscous parameters of surface tissues, separately
determined through their mechanical impedance measurement by specialized
hardware and software. In other words the Impedance
Myography is a branch of “Vibrational
Viscoelastometry”, related to mechanical properties
study of surface muscles in dynamics. The Impedance
Myography reveals new opportunities for human neuromuscular system investigation
and for development new clinical methods of its condition diagnostic and its
treatment monitoring, appending possibilities of known mechanomyography and
